About Us

Bathurst Hypnotherapy is a locally based business, owned by certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Annie Walker. She is committed and passionate about helping you achieve a positive outcome for any issue or challenge you want to resolve. With real life experience, Annie understands the importance of addressing your issues, challenges and unwanted feelings so that you can achieve a better quality of life and live the life you want.

Why choose Annie?

Annie is a genuine, caring professional who provides confidential consultations and individually tailored programs for you. She uses a friendly but direct approach in eliciting information from you to identify ‘how’ you “do” your problem, not why the problem exists. For example, if you had a thorn in your foot, would you wonder why it is there, and why it came to be in your foot? Or would you simply stop and take it out?

Hypnotherapy is not a talk-fest, it’s solution based therapy where we do a lot of work at the unconscious level to make the changes you want rapidly, effectively and free you from the old behaviours that have been holding you back or keeping you stuck!

Using this approach Annie can work with you to achieve a positive outcome.

Bathurst - the oldest inland settlement in Australia

Bathurst is often referred to as the Gold Country as it was the site of the first gold discovery and where the first gold rush occurred in Australia. Today education, tourism and manufacturing drive the economy. The internationally known racetrack Mount Panorama is a landmark of the city. Bathurst has a historic city centre with many ornate buildings remaining from the gold rush period of the mid to late 19th century.

Mount Panorama - Bathurst 1000

The Mount was an important part of the local Wiradjuri tribe's culture. The Mount was called ‘Waluu', which means ‘to watch over' and it was from the vantage points now known as Skyline & McPhillamy Park that the young Wiradjuri men would watch over their land and the movements of travellers to and from the valley.

Mount Panorama began as a dirt-track/tourist-drive carved out of the bald hills around the city of Bathurst in the mid 1930s. The Council of the time, specifically Mayor Martin Griffin, had a vision for a premier motor racing circuit with the sharp hills, hairpin bends and a fast downhill straight that would inspire awe and demand respect from all who took up the challenge for years to come. Strong support from the New South Wales Light Car Club, Auto Cycle Union and the Federal Government, through a national employment relief scheme, saw this vision become a reality. On 17 March 1938 Mayor Martin Griffin declared the Mount Panorama Scenic Drive open. He always knew that the road was going to be used for motor racing but Depression Era funds weren't easy to come by, so he had to create a ruse. At Easter 1938 the first races were held and except for the war (WWII), have been run ever since.

Mount Panorama is indisputably a Mecca for motor racing fans all over Australia and around the world.
